Ordo Lectionum stands for Order of Readings, which is the calendar of the Roman Catholic Church (for Mass and Divine Office) that, with other related docs, orders the disposition of feasts and related readings for each day of a given year.
Like all calendars it must be adjourned every year, removing and/or replacing some feast.

Unlike printed calendars, this small utility does not need to be reset every year.
For instance, in the Order of Readings, years are distributed in a three-year cycle (A, B, C year), where each year has got its own set of readings for Sundays, while weekdays have got their own set of readings depending whether the year is even or odd. And so on and so forth.

Using Ordo Lectionum app, users do not need to know whether the current year is A or B or C; neither do they need to check whether in the current year a given feast has been dropped or replaced.
Opening the app they will get straight away references of the right readings for that particular day.

Nevertheless, through the “Manual” option, users can view the data of all the celebrations contained in the app.

For users versed in Bangla language, there is the option to view the Biblical texts of the selected celebration in Bangla (screenshot #2 etc.). No texts in other languages are available in the app since they are copyright-protected.

And for users not well versed in the Books of the Bible in their abbreviated form (Jl for Joel etc.), a special window may be of some help (as shown in the Screen Shots).

Eventually, in the View menu, Bangla speaking users, even without setting Bangla as Preferred language in System Preferences, can easily switch from English to Bangla (screenshot #4).
